I have the honour to forward herewith an application from Mr. Nolan, Cantonese and Hoklo Interpreter, for an increase to his salary of $25 a month. He states that this increase has been granted to Messrs. Moore and Mackie.

Mr. Nolan is a hard worked and deserving Officer, and is a most excellent Interpreter.
